In other words, the Holy Spirit combines the seven Spirits of God, as expressions of God’s character or nature. The Book of Isaiah, 11:2 states, “The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of power, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.”Īnd the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, Revelation 5:6 – And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.Īs you can see, in the Book of Revelation, the Seven Spirits of God are characterized as “before the throne”, as seven stars (points of Light) lightening, thunder, voices (electricity, light and sound) seven “lamps of fire”, and as a lamb with seven eyes and seven horns (seven avenues of perception, and seven points of energetic perception). Revelation 4:5 – And out of the throne proceeded lightnings and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God. Revelation 3:1 – And unto the angel of the church in Sardis write These things saith he that hath the seven Spirits of God, and the seven stars I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. Revelation 1:4 – John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne. The seven Spirits of God are mentioned in the Book of Revelation, and in the book of Isaiah, naming each as a Spirit. Could it be possible, that the seven spiritual aspects repeated in multiple forms throughout the Bible, can be associated with the seven Chakras? The media has fanned the flames of ambition and power lust in all classes of society to the hurt and downfall of this present evil world. The number seven has a great deal of significance in the Bible, repeating throughout. They want and are partaking of the "forbidden fruit" again. The devil is still at work telling the modern Eves that God is withholding from them worlds of power and light. The Scriptures tell us, "Let each esteem others better than themselves." In our time many are chaffing with the thought that anyone could be used of God in a higher way than himself or herself.Īs a case in point, the woman’s movement is constantly attacking the Bible for excluding women from the pulpit. Let us be careful not to imbibe the world’s infatuation with power and influence. Any insubordination on our part would be a grave offense to our Master. It would be a tragic mistake to ignore the "star" or "angel" of the period of the church that we live in. Revelation 1:20 says, "The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches." Jesus holds the "seven stars" in his right hand. We learn in Revelation that Jesus has both "the seven Spirits of God" and the "seven stars." Who are the "seven stars?" John was heaven’s choice to give us the Revelation of Jesus Christ. Whether this was John’s natural ability alone or whether the holy Spirit strengthened his natural abilities, we are glad John did not miss any details. John seems to have total recall, recording Jesus’ discourse and his complete prayer in John Chapter 17.Įven though John was very old when he wrote Revelation, he did not lose his total recall or his artist’s eye for detail. Only Jesus’ enemies would have been the witnesses. Except for John's report, we would not have known what transpired during Jesus' last night. John was the only disciple to stay with Jesus through the last night, and who absented himself perhaps for no more than an hour while Jesus was carrying the cross.

Chapters 13-19 of John's Gospel have an intense focus on the last day of Jesus’ life. John gives details no other Gospel writer supplies. Nearly one-quarter of his Gospel covers the last day of Jesus' life. He had absorbed the vision, and then subsequently recorded it.

John, therefore, wrote with a great deal of understanding. John comprehended the message of Revelation 5 before he penned Revelation 3. Then we find the worthy Lamb in Revelation 5, who is described as the "Lamb" as though it had been slain, "with seven horns and with seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth." Only God possessed the "seven Spirits of God" in Revelation 4. Revelation 4 and 5 were seen and absorbed by John before he wrote Revelation 1 and 3. It is important that we understand this, because it helps us realize that the whole of Revelation is not given in absolute time sequences. Here we learn that John saw Revelation 5 before he penned this verse.
